Self-Introduction

Hi! I’m Avery. I’m originally from Fernie BC, but moved to Victoria a few years ago for university. I’m a third-year student pursuing a BSc in Psychology and a minor in Education. 

Right now, I’m working as a research assistant in the BRAIN Lab, exploring resiliency in informal caregivers of people living with dementia. I also do volunteer work with the Victoria Brain Injury Society. I love both of these positions, and they have helped me find a sense of community in Victoria. In the future, I would like to continue to work with people in the field of psychology. 

Outside of school, I love swimming, running, crafting and artwork. I also love being around my family and friends, and going to the ocean.
